I know we’re all supposed to have our lives together, with elegant and impressive travel plans, fully-baked summer activities down to an Instagram-worthy Nantucket or Hamptons vacation, but I have absolutely none of that. What I do have is an appreciation for slower days, extended daylight, and the excuse to take it easy because it’s too hot to do anything else. (North Carolina didn’t get the memo this week and the temperature plummeted back to 58° and raining, but it’ll feel like the surface of the sun in no time.)
Anyway, in the spirit of summer’s official kickoff, I’ve pulled together some fun finds. And as always, you can find all of my posts linked together here. Enjoy!
01.
I repeat: Polo makes the best sweaters. And while I’m not personally feeling particularly patriotic lately, I appreciate the subtly (and perhaps subliminal message?) of the camouflaged American flag pointelle pullover.
02.
Cordless lights get cuter and cuter. This high design example will transform an outdoor table into something much chicer.
03.
Who doesn’t need a conversational charger? These $12 rattan scallop shells from Target are adorable.
04.
Another new (to me) find: Sophie Lou Jacobsen offers unique and reasonably priced homewares, including a series of beautiful glassware sets. I love these fluted aperitif pieces, and $135 for a set of four for something not massed produced is such a steal.
05.
A very cute vase (30% off) from Lulu & Georgia. They have cornered the vase market for me.
06.
These $20(!) scallop-shaped salad tongs. Buy 10 and keep them in your closet for hostess gifts.
07.
Look at these very fun multicolored, stone-studded crochet ballet flats. They’re simply adorable, and a hair artsy, which is a balance I strive for.
08.
Warn everyone around you: Closed for August hat by Porto. (I envy Europeans so much. For many reasons, but especially this.)
09.
I am thrilled to see the iconic 1990s Montauk tote is back at J.Crew, with some more elegant 2026 design updates. I love the stripe!
10.
Gingham for summer. Groundbreaking. But seriously: take a break from wrestling your duvet cover in favor of a simple bed blanket. This is so cute.
11.
Do I need taffeta gingham drawstring cargo pants? Not no.
Thank you for being here, and I hope you have a wonderful long weekend,
