Things I really like right now (in real life, not just the magical blog world):
Sephora spluring: I'm no beauty expert, but I do like wearing make-up. Everyone seemed to be talking about this Laura Mercier foundation primer. I took it for a test spin yesterday during a full day in the city, and I have to say my face held up much better than usual after all that wind, steam, and gross Grand Central train platform ambiance. Basically, I like it. Plus the tube is really big, so it feels like bang for my buck.
I also picked up a full-sized Bare Minerals Ready Foundation sample at the IFB Conference a few weeks ago, and I have to say it's rather nice. It covers well, but requires the "precision face" (or another flat-faced) brush. Here's a tip straight from the Bare Minerals IFB booth guy: Do not swirl the brush in the compact, just press once lightly on the powder block and then apply what's picked up to your face. In other words, use carefully. Just say no to "Casper Face."
Business cards: Once I purchased the domain for my blog and website, I decided to finally invest in some letterpress business cards from Cotton Paperie in Dallas, Texas (at the suggestion of Alex). They offer easy online ordering, great color selection (although mine are black, white and gold edging!) and super fast service. Recommended!
A necessary accessory: Yes? I think so. Love the classic black (with polka dot interior, of course).
Schumacher roses: Don't we all wish this print could make its way to our homes? I think so. But then again, I change my mind so much about pattern and color, I'm not sure I could commit to such an investment. Instead, I'm downloading the swatch and adding it as the wallpaper on my iPhone. This is my new favorite Pinterest browsing hobby.
The bag I can't put down: My dear aunt sent me the J.Crew Attaché bag as a belated graduation present. I just love it. The short handles are perfect for holding it close, and the shoulder strap is the perfect length (this is rare in my experience) for longer wanderings. Plus it's easy on the eyes, right?
Office goods: I'm loving everything Russell and Hazel right now. I just ordered a few binders for some projects I'm working on. I like the idea of sending my clients printed copies of everything when it's all said and done!
